PageDNA Account Upgrade: Imposition Module Date: 2012 Q3
What is the Imposition Module?: This optional account upgrade provides extensive automation for production of like-sized, typeset items such as business cards. Items are auto-grouped/ganged and these sets of orders are pushed to an external FTP site based on rules and schedules.
PageDNA Fact: 21% of PageDNA orders route through the Imposition Module.
How it works: Any items linked to Imposition system enter a queue, and are then auto-grouped into ‘gangs’ based on schedules and rules you set.
Example: 4-up plate layout
Example: 4-up plate layout Items in queue: 1 order for 500 qty 2 orders for 250 qty
Example: 4-up plate layout Items in queue: 1 order for 500 qty 2 orders for 250 qty
The system optimizes the layout for the ideal grouping for the least amount of waste.
Imposition features: 1 and 2 sided support 2 sided: individual files or combined PDF output algorithm options: • prioritize older items first • allow or disallow partial plates • force unique item to each row in gang • define maximum run lengths

: Shipping Label Option Imposition Option: Shipping Labels Because the Shipping Label rides along on top of each item through the cutter / slitter, it can be extremely helpful for the shipping/grouping department. Examples: • ‘wand’ barcode and enter PageDNA item ID into shipping station • affix ship label to back of box of cards (e.g., include cube number for desktop delivery)
