  2. Introduction Exercise is important for a healthy life; it involves stretching the bones and muscles of the body in order to keep fit. It helps to burn calories and invigorates the respiratory, skeletal, muscular and skeletal system to mention but a few.  There are various forms of exercises people partake in to ensure a fit body, one of them is running.  Running is a beneficial form of exercise that helps to relax the muscles.  The unique thing about running is that it can be done anytime, although running in the morning has more benefits than running at any other time of the day. While a lot of people do not consider themselves morning persons and are still bent at keeping their body fit at other time apart from the morning, knowing the benefit of running in the morning when the air is clearer and unpolluted, will absolutely change their mind and encourage then to run in the morning.  These benefits include:

  3. Benefits Physical and Mental Energy: Running in the morning improves physical and mental energy. It involves movements of several parts of the body which help individuals to start their day better. After a morning run, not only will an individual feel better, his focus and mental abilities will also improve. Burning Fat:  When burning calories, waking up to run first thing in the morning without food will help to burn a higher percentage of fat than running later in the day. In the morning, individuals have less glycogen which is a product derived from carbohydrate and stored in the liver and muscle, hence running in the morning help to burn those fats stored in the body. No schedule clash: Running in the morning does not clash with other planned schedules unlike running  in the afternoon or evening which may require one to ditch a plan  for the run or just putting off the run entirely for the day especially when unforeseen change of plan happens. In fact it makes you feel better knowing you have stretched your body without having to interrupt your plans.

  4. Benefits Metabolism: Running in the morning also increases metabolism. Breakfast is the most important and most skipped meals of the day but running will zap off some energy which will require you to replenish yourself by eating breakfast after a rigorous run. Hangover Cure: Enjoying too many drinks in the night and waking up with a serious hangover in the morning is not unusual  and can be very uncomfortable especially with a strong headache but you can easily shake it off with a run.  Once you drag yourself off the bed and run, the movement, extra blood flow and fresh air will warm up your senses and body quickly and get you ready for the day in a good shape. Better Training: Professional runners can testify to the fact that they get a more productive training session in the morning. If you are training for a race, morning runs will prepare you and help you perform better. It also gives the runner a chance to experiment hydration techniques.
