  3. Six Tips to Expand the Life of a UPS Battery A UPS battery should be charged every 3-4 days. Otherwise its life will be decreased if does not get proper charge each time.

  4. Don’t use tap water in water because it contain dissolved mineral which will react with electrolyte and plate of battery and reduce efficiency of battery So, use only distilled water

  5. Once in 50 days you need to take your battery for equalization charging. You should not operate the battery below 20% of its charging as it can damage the battery cells.

  6. If you want to add some water in your inverter battery, the you need to do it with a fully charged battery. You should never add water in a battery which is partially charged. Even in a new battery if you find the water level Very low, you should not add water first. You should first charge the battery fully and then you need to put water in it.

  7. To store a UPS battery you need to store it in a fully charged condition. After giving it full charge you need to plug it in 30 days.
