1. “Descriptive-Emotion” (Unit 3) 3rd Grade • Your teacher has asked you to write two paragraphs. In the first paragraph, describe a time when you felt proud. It could have been when you did well in school, in sports, or something else. In the next paragraph, write about other things you can do that would make you feel proud. • Before you begin to write, think about how you would describe a time when you felt proud. • Now write two paragraphs describing a time when you felt proud and other things you can do to make you proud of yourself. • Your letter should have at least two paragraphs. • Give details and enough information so your teacher will understand what happened. • Be sure to write clearly. • Check your writing for correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar. • Use transition words to show sequence. • Use a variety of descriptive words in your writing.
