  2. You have two degrees that you can receive!!! 1.)A Bachelor of Science in Engineering Degree 2.)A Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering

  3. Colleges or Technical Colleges There are only a few colleges and Technical Colleges that you can attend in Wisconsin. 1.) Fox Valley Technical College 2.) UW Platteville 3.) UW Milwaukee 4.) UW Madison 5.) UW Stout

  4. Fox Valley Tech offers a two year program called Mechanical Design, where you receive a Associates Degree. Requirements include an Entrance Exam, a ACT Test or an Acuplacer Test. Fox Valley Technical College

  5. Platteville They offer a four year program where you get a bachelors degree. Classes include Computer-aided Engineering, Mechanical Design of Internal Combustion Engines, Environmental Control Design, and Vibration Systems Design. You will need 131 credits total for graduation and 100 credits for your major studies. Most classes involve drawing parts, vehicles, and anything that has to do with technology.

  6. MSOE offers a full time four year program only and no part time programs. Your requirements for high school are four Math, four English, Physics, and Chemistry. Your payment for each year will be around $50,000 per year. You will also need a minimum of a 3.0 GPA. M.S.O.E.

  7. Has a 2+2 program with FVTC. But instead of receiving a Associates degree and finishing at FVTC you can go to U.W. Fox Valley for another 2 years to get your Bachelors degree. U.W. Fox Valley

  9. Sometimes you get a job using your knowledge making new weapons and rifles

  10. Some people that receive their masters degree can get a job at N.A.S.A designing space shuttles.

  11. You can get a job designing Choppers for big companies! HINT: OCC IS LOOKING FOR A NEW PERSON!!!

  12. Most drafters make around $43,000 and a year max of $67,650. The lowest class of drafter usually with just a associates degree start out making around $27,490 but increase as your knowledge grows and your job searching gets better.

  13. Most people want to move to a better company after a while. There are only a few companies that require mechanical engineers. There isn’t a big growth in Mechanical Engineering at all. There is hardly few new companies that need Mechanical Engineers. Most of the growth only happens in the same companies where they expand or people retire so they need new people or people quit to go somewhere else or they just get fired!

  14. Working Conditions are usually a standard 40 hour week. Only once in a while you ever work overtime but usually only when you are working on a big project for your company.

  15. You will usually want to start out with a four year college degree. You have a better chance of succeeding with bachelors degree over a associates degree.

  16. Almost every company that you will work for will be using some type of CADD program, and software.

  18. So in conclusion choose your career carefully and be sure to stick with it and start to plan for your future early, don’t wait until the last minute to decide.
