food • They ate squash, beans and corn and also Venison witch is deer meat. They always ate bass or walleye if they catch one. They made: corn bread , a salad like food , and pumpkin bread.
Shelter • They made the longhouses out of tall spruce tree because there thick , strong, and flexible. there longhouses were 40 ft wide 20 ft high and 200 ft long. • Lacing was used to make the shape then they would cover it with birch bark the process took a month or two. • One section was small for cleaning bear and deer another space was for sleeping and they had bunks only there connected to a wall . one room was where they stayed when it was cold out .
Land usedge • They were farmers. they always had good crops be cause they made more fields so they wouldn’t use up the soil. • Before they planted corn they put a fish were they were going to plant the corn then they would put corn on the fish. • Each time they made a field they put a crop in a section then the next year they'd put a completely different crop there.
Traps • One trap was a sneer tied to a spruce so when a small animal ran through it, it’ll spring up and rap the rope around its leg and the spruce will go flying up so the animal can’t get out. • another trap is a deep hole covered with sticks then is covered with leaves then baited with a bluegill . then they wait.
Clothes • When it was cold they wore bear hide but that is only when it is below zero. • They often wore deer hide like a robe. • Women often wore a bulky robe with a hood and removable sleeves.
