  2. Big Picture • Active southerly jet stream • Digging trough over south Texas and western Gulf of Mexico • Developing, deepening surface low pressure system • System will move northeast across N Florida • Cold front passage will end threat late Friday

  3. Graphics • Satellite pictures • Prog charts • QPF • SPC Convective outlooks • Sfla – best combo shear/instability from 09z Friday-00z Saturday • What to expect • Bottom line (time of highest threat of severe weather)

  4. Timing • East wind this evening will slowly veer to SE by predawn hours and S on Friday morning, finally SW Friday afternoon, windy, warm and humid Friday • Warm front will be broad and diffuse but by 7 AM Friday it should be in the L.O. region moving north • Surface low pressure system will move from the S Gulf to Apalachee Bay by noon Friday and deepen • Most of the thunderstorms should be over by 7 PM Friday, wind veers to W • Cool air arrives overnight with NW wind by 7 AM Saturday • Coldest low temperatures some spotty 30s interior, mainly 40s to near 50 Monday morning
