0-25 DEVELOPING AND MOVING FORWARD • TRANSITION OF OVER FORTY 19 – 25 YOUNG PEOPLE FROM ADULTS LEARNING DISABILTIES TEAM TO 0-25 SERVICE ALONG WITH BUDGET. • STAFFING RESTRUCTURE • REFORM OF THE PANEL PROCESS TO A QUALITY ASSURANCE & MONITORING MEETING (QAMM)+ • REVIEW OF SHORT BREAKS AND LEISURE PROVISON + • STRENTHENING RELATIONSHIPS WITH BARNET PARENT AND CARERS FORUM. (BPCF) • CLOSER WORKING WITH OUR PARTNERS IN EDUCATION
CO-PRODUCTION • Working together on the development of decisions that are made in an equal and reciprocal relationship right from the start
REVIEW OF SHORT BREAKS AND LEISURE PROVISION • In partnership with education send BPCF were asked to co-produce the vision parents and carers had for a short break and leisure provision different to present one.
PARTICPATION • Working with strategic groups and decision making groups to decide what should happen to shape services
PARTICIPATION • I am a welcomed participator of BPCF steering group. • 0-25 service are members of the adults learning disabilities multi agency panel – working for the benefit of the 18-25 • Working with our partners in Education and Health for transition of 14/16 years to 19 year olds into adulthood.
PARTICIPATION • Participating and developing Educational Health Care Plans (EHCP) • 0-25 service participate in various groups; Autism Leading Edge, Co-Production and Participation, Transitions, Meeting and others.
YOU SAID - WE DID - • YOU SAID - We want a short break and leisure provision different to our current onewith more flexibility outside of the commissioning process • WE DID - With our Education partners we asked the BPCF to co-produce what parents and carers wanted and how they wanted it delivered • YOU SAID - We want access to play and leisure for three year olds • WE DID - This summer we open up applications for all under three years old
YOU SAID- WE DID - • YOU SAID – You wanted a more open process to financial decision making for care/support packages • WE DID - We reformed the process and separated Social Worker assessments of need and the financial request in two parts • YOU SAID – How much money is there for short breaks and leisure • WE DID- I informed the BPCF workshop of some 75 parents and carers who attended of the budget
OUR COMMITTMENT • We are committed to working fully in the spirit of co-production and participation • We will listen to children, young people and their parents and carers • We will work openly and transparently • We will respond appropriately and in a timely manner
