DIGITAL PRINTS, VPF & KEYS • 6 DCP for the 11 theaters, no digital sent by cable and no 35mm prints in backup. • VPF : only free access except one paid to a third part (Ymagis) for a special screening and the release in Blois. • KDM for the national release for minimum 8 weeks for special screenings specially with schools.
PRO & CONS • Pros A real economy specially with the cost of the 35mm black and white print. Control of the capacity with the keys. Quality of the screening. A beautiful and modern black & White. Useful for schools screenings if it’s long time after the release. Same quality after several screenings.
Cons digital & 35mm together is difficult to organize. Art houses theaters are still not enough equipped. Difficulty to work with third part. If we have to pay a VPF, still high, the digital print can not go to another theater after.
