  2. About Fabric A textile is a flexible material consisting of a network of natural or artificial fibers (yarn or thread). Yarn is produced by spinning raw fibres of wool, flax, cotton, hemp, or other materials to produce long strands..Textiles are formed by weaving, knitting, crocheting, knotting or tatting, felting, or braiding. Generally, fabrics take the name of the fiber used to manufacture it such as fabrics made out of 100% Cashmere Fibers is named as Cashmere Fabric. Each fabric carries a unique name in order for it to be identified among others based on their textures, designs, weaving patterns, aesthetic values, fiber source, the place where the fabrics are originated, etc.

  3. Chanderi Fabric • Chanderi fabric is a traditional ethnic fabric characterized by its lightweight, sheer texture and fine luxurious feel. Chanderi fabric is produced by weaving in silk and golden Zari in the traditional cotton yarn that results in the creation of the shimmering texture. • The fabric borrowed its name from the small town chanderiin Madhya Pradesh where traditional weavers practice the art of producing textured sarees in cotton and silk decorated with fine zari work. • Chanderi fabric can be classified into three types – Chanderi silk cotton, pure silk and Chanderi cotton. Traditionally, Chanderi fabric was primarily used in weaving Sarees and salwarkameezmaterial.

  4. Chiffon fabric • Chiffon fabric is a lightweight plain-woven fabric with mesh like weave that gives it transparent appearance. The word Chiffon has a French origin which means a cloth. • It is primarily made from cotton, silk or synthetic fibers like nylon, rayon and polyester. Chiffon is most commonly used to weave sarees, dresses and scarves.

  5. Crepe fabric Crepe is a type of thin fabric known for its distinctive crinkled texture and wrinkled appearance. Crepe fabric was originally only made using silk, but nowadays all types of fabrics including cotton, chiffon, and rayon are used to create crepe.

  6. Georgette Fabric • Georgette is a light-weight, crinkled and sheer fabric, displaying an overall bouncy look. A strong absorbent, Georgette is easy to dye and has dull-rough texture. Georgette is woven in highly twisted yarns of S & Z, in both warp and weft. • Georgette is woven in two forms: Pure and Faux. Pure Georgette is woven out of Silk yarns, while the Faux Georgette is woven from Rayon and Polyester. this fabric weighs at around 90 grams per meter and is very springy and airy in nature.

  7. Kota Doria Fabric • Kota Doria (also called as Kota Dori) is a unique blend of cotton and silk in a square check pattern. The silk provides the shine while the cotton provides strength to the fabric. The name kotadoria is taken from it place of origin, Kota in Rajasthan, India. • Kota Doria is a very fine weave and weigh very less. Sarees, SalwarKameez, Lehengas and Home furnishings are some popular uses of the fabric.
