The Requirement • The client required support to manage over 2 million products, focusing on: • Data Scraping: Extract and cleanse product data from brand websites, ensuring standardized formats for integration. • Taxonomy and Categorization: Develop a custom taxonomy, categorize products, and assign UNSPSC codes for better navigation. • AI-Powered Enrichment: Leverage ChatGPT to complete missing product data, creating an accurate and comprehensive database.

Our Solution To meet the client’s needs, we deployed a six-member team to implement: • Developing Custom Scripts: Developed Python scripts using Curl Requests, Python Requests, and BeautifulSoup Objects to scrape dynamic product data while adhering to ethical guidelines. • Taxonomy and Categorization: Created a tailored taxonomy and assigned verified UNSPSC codes using ChatGPT and manual validation. • AI-Driven Product Data Enhancement:Used a custom ChatGPT-4 solution with precise prompts to fill in missing product information.

  6. The Role of Human Oversight in the Project AI-generated categorization and UNSPSC codes were manually verified to correct ambiguities and ensure alignment with the UNSPSC framework. ChatGPT filled in missing data while human experts validated outputs and refined details using the in-house database. Scripts automated data extraction, with manual reviews ensuring accuracy, removing unwanted characters, and meeting client standards.
