  2. Meet the client/Client profile Our client is an eminent eCommerce entity. Market segment: Luxury & rugged smartphones and related accessories Major traffic source: Website Sales channels: Amazon, eBay, NewEgg, OnBuy

Project challenges • The client was actively looking for an experienced nopCommerce development company to tackle the following obstacles: • Subpar customer experience due to heavy traffic • Difficulty in tracking and addressing performance-related and technical concerns • Lack of time and resources since their team was already swamped with other critical tasks

Project requirements • Our initial approach • We initially assigned a team of two certified developers to maintain their website. • As the client gained more confidence in our team, we were entrusted with other critical business challenges. • Additional client requirements for maintaining the following operations across all sales channels: • Inventory management • Pricing/repricing • Order management

The solution: A centralized system for task automation • The proposed solution involved an automated centralized sales channel management system with custom dashboards for each marketplace. • This solution aimed to streamline inventory maintenance, automate price updates, and allow the client to focus on business growth and profitability. • We automated essential tasks in phases and launched the initial working model within seven months.

The working model of the system • The first release included the following elements: • Building the management console: • Integrated dashboards for all sales channels and suppliers • Utilized nopCommerce features and custom plugins • Added data specialists for listing data management • Distributing server load: • Addressed slow website loading and high bounce rates • Offloaded processes to a daemon server • Ensured effective resource utilization

Syncing supplier inventory: • Leveraged the AWS Cloud and RESTful Selling Partner API • Used Amazon EC2 instances and Lambda functions • Access to marketplace data on Amazon, eBay, NewEgg, and OnBuy • Automating competitor price scraping: • Developed a price calculation algorithm to map supplier prices • Determined and updated an optimal price for the listings on the client’s sales channels
