  2. WHAT IS MIKVAH? A mikvah is a pool of water in that some of the portion is from a natural source — in which observant married Jewish women are required to dip once a month, seven days after the end of their menstrual cycle.

  4. Niddah Describes a woman during menstruation, or a woman who has menstruated and not yet completed the associated requirement of immersion in a mikveh (ritual bath). Hefsek Tahara Internal Examination with a white cloth to ascertain that bleeding has completely ended. According to most opinions, at least five days must elapse from the Start of Flow before performing a Hefsek Tahara. Some Sefardic opinions require only four days. Onah A time period a) one day or night, measured from sunrise to sunset or from sunset to sunrise b) the length of one menstrual cycle c) the mitzvah for a couple to have relations (mitzvat onah)
