Gold Star Family Support • Gold Star Families Can Also Enjoy • Access to our centers • Access to our events • Special events geared towards Gold Star Family Support Fallen Warrior Room A space of comfort at Norfolk International Airport (ORF). Trained Staff and volunteers guide them through the process of receiving the dignified transfer of their loved one’s remains.
Exceptional Family Member Program Military families facing chronic or terminal illness are invited to a free day of fun and food at King’s Dominion to make memories with family members, which allow them to connect.
Canine Comfort Crew Our Canine Comfort Crew bring in carefully screened dogs to select USOHRCV centers for the enjoyment of our service members.
Little Patriots’ Trunk Hop • Military kids can hop from trunk to trunk and collect treats, or engage in various spring themed crafts • Expected Attendance: 3,000 • Opportunities to sponsor a trunk are available
Spring Up! for Military Kids • 1100 to 1400, Holiday Trav-L Park, Virginia Beach • Guests will enjoy critter cuddling, springtime crafts, agility inflatables and more! • Each child in attendance will receive a new book to help build their home library.
Operation: Holiday Spirit Similar to the “giving tree” concept, community members, families and local businesses “adopt” a family, providing Christmas gifts and holiday treats to make their season bright.
Operation: I’ll be Home for the Holidays!(AKA Holiday Block Leave) Staff, volunteers and sponsors pull out the stops at our USOHRCV airport centers as hundreds of service members enjoy hot food, snacks, and entertainment while they await their next flight home.

Fundraising Activities: Viva Las Vegas: The Gala Enjoy an evening of pure Las Vegas fun, fabulous entertainment and casino adventures! “Play money” will be included with admission to play games like Poker, Roulette, and more!
Home for the Holidays Concert Series Presented by the City of Virginia Beach and Guava Jam, enjoy a weekend of local musical acts to get you in the holiday spirit!
Be the Force – Volunteer! Without our 1500 loyal volunteers, we could not keep centers open nor stage any events that add value to our service members’ lives. We welcome corporate volunteer teambuilding projects.
