2.Teachers’ achievements • 2.1This course established an internationalised platform which enabled us to exchange experience with foreign counterparts directly and horizons. • 2.2The background knowledge of most chapters is also key knowledge used in China’s teaching material of senior middle school biology course. the biology materials in China is not only about knowledge,but about the interrelationship between Science ,Technology and Society,to include such topics as brain death ,and animal right that is related to society.
2.3This course was new for each teacher, so we studied hard, collected a lot of material ,had the courage to discard old ideas and bring forth new ones.The course was also designed so that it was in lined with China’s conditions.
3.Students’ achievements • 3.1The course broadened their horizons,they developed a new understanding about the world and society which is helpful for their growth. • 3.2The course made students understand the relation of Science,Technology and Society correctly through discussion of each cases individually.
3.3Many students went back home to discuss with their parents what they had learned from the course. they found out their parents ideas.In this way the course enhanced communication between students and parents. • 3.4The course improved students’ English by reading English materials and they experienced seven different teaching styles by seven teachers’ lectures.
4.Suggestions • 4.1The selection of chapter continuously in accordance with the times. • 4.2The content of chapter should be in line with different countries’conditions.
