Experience with accreditation process. Applied for accreditation 26 of April. Achieved accreditation 3rd of March. Too long process Ecoxy lost contracts because we had not achieved accreditation. Most contracts achieved in autumn.

Experience with accreditation process • Applied for accreditation 26 of April.Achieved accreditation 3rd of March. • Too long process • Ecoxy lost contracts because we had not achieved accreditation. Most contracts achieved in autumn. • Lack of a good accreditation plan. New requirements for site visit late autumn. Slowed down process. • Site visits and visit at office well performed. Clear and good feedback. • Used technical expert from Miljødirektoratet at one site visit – should be avoided

  2. Experience Miljødirektoratet • Had some contact regarding AVR and MRR. • We were uncertain on some issues. The feedback from Mdir could have been more clear. • Verification report template should be translated to Norwegian. • Monitoring plans • Some plants got “strong” demands and others less strong demands – not consistent (in our opinion) • Especially regarding calibration/control of measurement instruments • Nice if Mdir could publish • Emissions per plant • Verifier per plant MarineAcoustics Underwater Noise

Ecoxy verification • Verification team of 3 persons.More personnel available within Ecoxy and NorskEnergi. • Verified 24 plants • Mostly plant with small emissions, some larger. • Few offshore, many industry sites and “Fjernvarmeanlegg” • Almost impossible for us to get contracts with larger companies. Ecoxy verificationprocess • Main findings first year. • Many had poor/lack of written procedures and control activities. • not so easy to verify their activities. • Many had insufficient knowledge about the MRR. • Insufficient control/check of measurement instruments. • Some ordered verification late – lack of time.
