CNAP aims at Launch Sharing of training, information and skills between nations Joint campaigning on national, UK, European and worldwide issues Joint Research Sharing of issues and mutual support CNAP aims now Encourage forward thinking on autism, within and across national boundaries Support and promote the development and implementation of National Strategies for Autism that improve the quality of life for people with autism Develop, maintain and promote evidence based best practice in the field of Autism The Power of Shared Knowledge
2008 - NI Assembly Dept of Health & Social Services (HSS) Strategic Action for ASD introduced. All-age HSS only covers £2m over 3yrs to support implementation • 15 March 2011 the Autism Act (Northern Ireland) 2010 • 5 May Royal Assent • Amendment to the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 • [“Clause 1(2).
