  10. 40th Anniversary of the Club of Rome • The Club of Rome celebrates 40 years of commitment and action to improve the lives of present and future generations. Personalities from all over the world will gather in Rome from 14th to 17th June to present their ideas on the critical global issues of the 21st Century and to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Club of Rome and the Centenary of one of its two Founders, the Italian industrialist and humanist, Aurelio Peccei. “A New Path for World Development.”

  11. WFSF - World Futures Studies Federationhttp://www.wfsf.org/ • The founding conference which created the Federation was held in Paris, France, 26 May 1973. The first General Assembly of the Federation was convened in Paris with UNESCO assistance in March 1974. • Since that time, the WFSF has held over 20 conferences in over a dozen countries, reflecting the flexibility, strength, diversity and resilience of the organisation, its members, and the field which it supports. • The World Futures Studies Federation XXth World Conference, "Transitions: Encouraging Emerging Worlds" has been held June 30-July 3rd, 2008 in Trollhätten, Sweden. • The work continues with the preparation of the XXIst World Conference for 2009. The institutional members who would wish to host the next conference are kindly asked to follow this process: • after the reading of the document "Guidelines for a WFSF World Conference" (that will be updated this summer), • fill the application form below and send it to the Secretariat. • The Executive Board of the WFSF will then be in touch with you to examine the details of your proposal. The decision will be taken by mid-September.

  20. iMod : The Big Idea Hack : Santa Fe 2006 • Santa Fe, NM, USA - March 30 - April 1 2006 • On a sun-drenched spring weekend in the Tesuque Valley of northern New Mexico, APF members gathered to explore the future of ideas. From storytelling to systems thinking, members embarked on an ‘idea modification’journey to map the terrain of Big Ideas shaping the 21st century and to explore the implications for the practice of foresight.
