Posters:Each project group should write a scientific poster. This is a PowerPoint template for these posters. • Format: the format of this template is 60x90 cm, which fits into the frames for the posters. • Layout: This layout of this template is related to the University’s graphical profile. When preparing the poster, follow the basic layout used. This means: • Stick to the three-column format for the poster body. Do not change the size of the poster body. • List names and in the red field to the left as shown. Keep the left alignment of the text in the red field, and the bottom alignment of the email address in the red field and the “Project in...” text. • This text is written in 36 pt. The heading is written in 96 pt. Avoid using smaller font sizes. Target audience: Assume that the posters are read by other students at the same level as you are, but ot necessarily in your field. A4 prints of the posters may be used for distribution to students interested in taking the course. Language: Use English or Swedish, discuss with your advisor! Images: Please include pictures and figures! Check the quality of the pictures (100% zoom or more) before printing. Do not put images very close to the border of the poster. This may result in images loss as the printer needs a large margin. Printing: Use the IT poster printer for printing. Remember that each printout is expensive, only print the final version of the poster there! The printer is located in room 1232. The printer is not online, so you have to bring your document on disc, CD or USB memory. You need help from Stefan since only employees at the IT department can use the printer. Printer settings: in the print properties, select the ”advanced” tab. Here you should mark the ”Avoid out of memory” check box. Paper & ink: if not available in the printer room, DatorQ (they are in room 1203 by the elevator) have a supply of both paper and ink. Please notify DatorQ or Erik Borälv if you install the last color cartridge or paper roll.
