  3. For registration: Fill out the necessary fields. Be sure to include a valid email address for future contact.

  4. Create a username and password information.

  5. After entering your information, a confirmation page will appear.

  6. After creating your account, please continue to the login process for TEACH.

  7. Use your created username and password to log into the system

  8. Click on TEACH Online Services to continue the Registration process.

  9. Enter your Social Security Number to complete the account registration process.

  10. To proceed with Certification Application, click on Apply for Certificate.

  11. Your personal information will already be filled out. Click on Edit Education Info After you have entered your personal information, fill our your Education Information.

  12. Be sure to chooseSUC Buffalo for your Institution.

  13. Not sure of your award title? Refer to certificate information chart It is available on the Teacher Certification Website. www.buffalostate.edu/teachercertification

  14. Unsure of your Program Title? Refer to your certificate information chart.

  15. Pick Education from the Major Drop Down Menu.

  16. Fill in your Date Degree Received. • Fill in the Dates you attended SUC Buffalo. • Enter the Total Number of Credits for your degree.

  17. Select your Area of Interest from the Drop Down List

  18. Select your Subject Area from the Drop Down List.

  19. Select the appropriate Grade Level from the Drop Down List.

  20. Select the appropriate Title from the Drop Down List.

  21. Select the Type of Certificate. The current entry-level certificate in New York State is the Initial certificate.

  22. After filling out this section, click the Add button.

  23. Be sure to select Pathway: Approved Teacher Preparation Program

  24. Continue through the application answering all required questions; sign the affidavit and application; and make your payment. • You may pay online using a credit cardor print out the payment coupon and mail in a US Postal Money Order. • Because you chose the Approved Teacher Preparation Pathway, the cost will be $50.00

  25. What’s next? • Print and sign the “Release Authorization for Teacher Certification Recommendation” form. • It is available on the Teacher Certification website. • www.buffalostate.edu/teachercertification Return it to the Teacher Certification Office, Caudell Hall 101.
