Why develop a toolkit? To meet a local need - our solution to a problem! To promote safe practice – minimise risk Encouraging creative thinking in care planning and delivery Support a person-centred care (Person first – Dementia second!) A comprehensive ‘A-Z’ of life story work – A one stop shop! Supporting the knowledge and evidence base of staff utilising the toolkit To engage and inspire, provide training and support the development of life story work
What is included in the toolkit? An 80 minute training DVD A 14 minute short film ‘Going home’ A DVD ROM (learning resources, video clips and documentation) An e-learning guide ‘developing electronic journals’ A 98 page written guide with 12 chapters Learning and reflection sections An accessible and attractive resource packaged for ease of use!
