  3. Participating Load Program Loads can bid into markets similar to generators Discretionary Load Curtailment Program New UDC program will pick up much but not all of this participation Issued with preset performance price of $350, adjustable to $500-$750 ISO Program Status

ISO Demand Relief Program (DRP) Curtailed after interruptibles and before rotating blackouts Capacity payment $80,000 per MW for the summer, performance at $500/MWHr First RFB - 596 MW approved Second RFB bids due May 1 New participation Military facilities State real-time metering initiative Third RFB for Loads with backup generators?

  5. Back-up generators permitted in DRP Limited to backup generators that don’t synchronize to the grid. Coordination with air quality officials crucial New straw proposal First Tier - non-diesel generators Second tier Existing diesel installations only Encouragement for “cleaner” diesels Back-up Generators
