purpose • The purpose of the Crisis Management Plan is to provide the school district personnel, students, and community members with a structured outline of specific individual duties and responsibilities when responding to a crisis situation. • The main function of the plan is to maintain the orderly operation of the school and to meet the needs of students and their families, the school employees and the community members in the event of a crisis or unexpected tragedy.

FireEvacuation • Evacuate the building in an orderly fashion using the primary or secondary escape routes. (Take the Crisis Plan envelope with you!) • Relocate to the appropriate location: • K-3 relocates to the 4-6 gym • 4-6 relocates to the 7-12 gym • 7-12 relocates to the 4-6 gym • DEC relocates to Trinity Lutheran Church • Take Attendance • Raise Green Card, if ALL students are present. • Raise Red Card, if there is an issue, to alert the administration.
1) When the lockdown announcement is made, staff members will clear all students from the hallways and have them go to the nearest classroom. Students and staff members will be confined in their room until notified of evacuation plans or that the situation is clear. 2) Lock all doors and windows and turn off the room lights. 3) Have students move away from windows and doors and sit near and interior wall out of the line of sight from hallway windows. 4) Remind students to remain quiet, no talking. 5) Account for the students in the classroom. 6) Slide the appropriate card under your door. a. Use the green card to indicate the classroom is safe. b. Using the red card indicates that emergency assistance is needed as soon as possible. c. No cardwill indicate to law enforcement the need to enter the room, as the intruder may be present. 7) Assure the students that they are safe, that actions are being taken to resolve the problem-the administration is in charge in the command post and the police are on their way. **Once your room is secured, DO NOT leave the room until escorted by police officers or you are given permission to leave by the administration. **Once your room is secured, DO NOT open the door unless instructed to by law enforcement or administration.
