IAFC Partnerships Our Partnerships • The IAFC maintains two key business partnerships to provide quality education and information to the fire service. • Through our partnership with Jones and Bartlett Publishers, we provide a number of publications—textbooks, CDs, DVDs and online resources. • Our other key partnership, with FireRescue Magazine and its sister magazines and conferences, creates the largest family of conferences and magazines in the fire service.
IAFC & Jones and Bartlett Introduction • Since December 2002, the IAFC has partnered with Jones and Bartlett publishers, a leading publisher of text, professional and reference books and a variety of multimedia and online products. • IAFC members receive deep discounts on resources published through the partnership. • The IAFC partnership includes: • Textbooks • Online learning products • CDs and DVDs

IAFC & FireRescue Introduction • In keeping with the IAFC’s commitment to providing quality education and information delivery to the fire service, the IAFC entered into a strategic partnership with FireRescue magazine and its sister magazines, conferences and Web sites in October 2005. • This partnership creates the largest and most comprehensive family of conferences and publications serving the fire and emergency services.
IAFC & FireRescue The Partnership Benefits the Entire Fire Service: • IAFC members receive FireRescue magazine as a member benefit and a discount on its sister publications. • Conference attendees benefit by the strength of our increased range of educational programming that these two giants bring together. • Exhibitors and sponsors now have a full range of sales and marketing opportunities through larger and stronger conferences, exhibitions and publications.
IAFC & FireRescue The Partnership Includes:
IAFC & FireRescue IAFC Member Benefits: • Starting January 2006, IAFC members will receive FireRescue magazine as a member benefit. • IAFC members will receive a 35 percent discount on JEMS, Wildland Firefighter Magazine and EMS Insider. • Starting in January, FireRescue magazine will include a new section called “Leader’s Edge,” which will include feature articles and columns aimed at chief officers and written by some of the top leaders in the fire service today.
IAFC & FireRescue Magazines and Electronic Communications: • In January, FireRescue Magazine becomes the official magazine of the IAFC and Fire-Rescue International (FRI). • JEMS will be the official magazine of the IAFC and Fire-Rescue Med. • Wildland Firefighter Magazine becomes the official magazine of the IAFC and the Wildland Fire Conference.
IAFC & FireRescue Magazines and Electronic Communications: • IAFC will receive advertising and editorial space in all three Jems publications: FireRescue Magazine, JEMS and Wildland Firefighter magazine. • IAFC endorses firerescue1.com as the place to get information about IAFC/JEMS co-branded products and services. • IAFC and JEMS will work together to develop a joint job board on Firerescue1.com with the goal of making it the most extensive job board for the fire service.
IAFC & FireRescue Conferences: • The IAFC and FireRescue will offer eight conferences targeted towards fire, EMS, DoD and homeland security. • IAFC and FireRescue will co-brand all conferences. • IAFC and FireRescue will join resources to produce the Wildland Fire Conference 2006. • IAFC and FireRescue will have representation at each others’ events to promote the family of conferences.
IAFC & FireRescue Conferences: • FireRescue Magazine will publish pre- and post-show FRI issues. • JEMS will publish pre-show Fire-Rescue Med issue. • Wildland Firefighter will publish pre-show Wildland Fire issue. • FireRescue may publish daily show issues at IAFC and FireRescue conferences.
IAFC & FireRescue Marketing and Branding: • IAFC and FireRescue will brand both organizations and build stronger educational programs and increase IAFC membership. • IAFC and FireRescue will exchange mailing lists and share appropriate market research to develop the most relevant educational content in publications and conferences. • IAFC and FireRescue will enhance sales opportunities for vendors seeking to participate in conferences and publications.
