ISSUES & CHALLANGES • Specific course content needs prerequisite knowledge and computer skills → not all participants have it → decreasing available time for the main topic. • Little has been done to investigate whether the participants apply the knowledge from the training when they go back to their countries. • Gaps between training demands and supply: The training is usually organized from the supply side without knowing the demand →need to pay attention on the demand side so the training will be more useful →the participant can apply statistics for policy analysis in their countries. • There is a need for improving the different types of training to handle current issues. • The challenge of introducing cost-effective methodology in the training → e-learning and distance learning. • Budget constraints → The need for sustainable collaboration withinternational institutions for supporting the trainings.
