Changes for 2009-2010 • National Council for State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) developing knowledge and skill statements and job analysis for nurse aides • NNAAP test (written) will be new effective January 2010 • New Handbook coming out in December • Reviewed/developed test items for Med. Aide exam
Testing Update - Miscellaneous Test sites: • Data shows that candidates who test INF have significantly higher pass rates --Pass rates at INF 85% --Pass rates at RTS 68% When removing challengers, rate remains 68% • RTS which offer training must offer state-approved training.
ADA notes • Majority of ADA requests involve deaf/hard of hearing candidates • Many modifications can be made • Eliminating skill is not an option • Modifications usually are aligned with modifications used in training (i.e. interpreters) • Digital equipment not allowed
