4.4 Critical Equipment - Maintenance • 4.4.1 If routine maintenance is required to be carried out on Critical Equipment, the Staff must carry out a Risk Assessment and forward the assessment to the Office. Only on approval from the Office can the Equipment be taken “Out of Service”. If approval is received on phone, a confirmatory email must be sent. • Critical equipment work permit F-S-0619 must be completed • 4.7 GENERIC CRITICAL EQUIPMENT LIST
9.1.2 Operation Of M/E At Low Loads • When the engine has to be operated for a prolonged period of time (longer than 2 hours) at less than 20% nominal power, kindly refer to MTM section 9.1.2 for complete details.
Annex 1 Guidelines On Planned Maintenance Schedules • The list requires to be elaborated to accommodate all units of equipment and / or all similar equipment for various services in consultation with Supdt to make it ship specific. • Intervals are to be reviewed as per maker’s instruction / condition warranting reduce the time between overhauling / deferring overhauls • Master / Chief Engr. may re-assign the responsibilities and wherever shore workshop is required the Supdt. must be notified well in advance.
