Aerosol Generated Ultra Low Volume Sprayer EquipmentVehicle Mounting HUMMV 24v System
To protect electrical components: Mount Control Unit to Main Component Box “Zip Tie” wiring running to common destinations together Never store with wiring connected to unit Wrap wiring and store between pesticide tank and battery bin
Check that the Control Unit is switched into the off position
Check that the Main Circuit Switch is in the “OFF” position Some early models have both an exterior “Main Switch” and three interior “System Switches” Ensure that all Switches are in the “OFF” position
Route AGULVE Wiring Harness Feed at least 3 feet of harness through to the front passenger compartment Route harness along edge of passenger rear seat area Secure with supplied “zip ties” to existing wiring harness Store excess wiring harness behind rear seat storage box
Snake Wiring Harness through rear corner of rear passenger seat This routing system will work with both 2 and 4-seat HUMMV configurations
Mount Wiring Harness Circuit Breaker/Switch Mount Circuit Breaker bracket to vehicle Trim at least 6 inches of wiring harness sheathing to expose positive and negative wires Cut positive wire (white), install hardware, then mount to bracket Ensure Circuit Switch is in “OFF” position Grease all hardware to limit moisture exposure Leave enough wiring harness exposed to allow mounting seat/battery cover without crimping wiring harness
Route Wiring Harness through Battery Box Access This is a tight fit, but the harness will fit if the existing harness are manipulated slightly Do Not cut off the sheathing to get the wiring harness to fit, the interior wiring sheathing is not sufficient to protect from a short
Mount Harness Wires to Rear Vehicle Battery Trim harness sheathing to expose negative (black) and positive (white) wires and mount hardware Mount negative (black) wire to negative post of last battery Mount positive (white) wire to positive post of last battery Mounting accomplished by slipping hardware on mounting bolt and tightening with nut DO NOT MOUNT POSITIVE (WHITE) WIRE TO FIRST BATTERY or NEGATIVE WIRE TO VEHICLE GROUNDING POST. This will create a 24-volt system and will result in serious damage to the AGULVE and Control Unit.
Mount Wiring Harness to AGULVE Battery Trim harness sheathing to expose negative (black) and positive (white) wires and mount hardware Route harness under Flushing System Supply Tube Mount negative (black) wire of harness and AGULVE to negative post Mount positive (white) wire of harness and AGULVE to positive post Mounting post configuration dependent on Battery Model/Manufacturer Grease all hardware to limit moisture exposure
Test System First, Switch on Wiring Harness Circuit Breaker/Switch
Test System Second, Switch on AGULVE System Main Circuit Switch Older models will also require the three interior switches to be placed into the on position after the Main Circuit Switch turned on
Test System Third, Turn on Control Unit IF AT ANYTIME A CIRCUIT SWITCH TRIPS TO THE OFF POSITION, THERE IS A ‘SHORT’ IN THE SYSTEM Locate which circuit was tripped Check to see if all wiring was placed to the correct field post (positive to positive, etc) Check harness to see if exposed wiring is touching metal parts (grounding out) Check harness to ensure that it was not mounted to the front vehicle battery, completing a 24-volt circuit
Perform a Test Operation using Flushing Agent Disconnect Control Unit from Storage Bracket and operate from Front Seat Perform Functions Check by operating all systems (Sprayer, Rear Light, Flushing, and Emergency Shut-Off) If there are no “Error Codes” or system circuits do not trip, system is ready to perform full operations
