ASO Address Council • AC Statement Regarding ICANN Evolution and Reform The ASO AC endorses the Joint RIR “statement” of 20 June 2002 regarding ICANN's Evolution and Reform proposal. The functional strength of the ASO as a Supporting Organization arises from the active, bottom-up involvement of the existing and emerging RIR members. Preserving this process is elemental to keeping the ASO a legitimate guiding force in IP Address policy. By re-aligning certain IANA functions to enhance the operational efficiency of the RIRs collectively, the ASO AC will be able to maintain our member-driven policy formation process and integrate global policy where needed.
