The study of fluids is primarily called Fluid Mechanics which is a branch of physics. While dealing with fluid problems, different measurements like pressure, hydrostatic forces are very much essential. It can be further subdivided into fluid statics, the study of fluids at rest, and fluid dynamics, the study of fluids in motion. This subject contains marks weightage of 6 to 7 in GATE Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering.<br>

GATE 2019 Syllabus for Fluid Mechanics GATE 2019 – To test the performance and understanding capability of students in their graduate fields, Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) which is a national level exam is being conducted. In M.E/M-Tech and other NITs throughout India, this test is useful for the admissions. On behalf of the National Coordination Board, GATE exam is jointly conducted by the seven IITs (Indian Institute of Technology) and IISc (Indian Institute of Science) – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. In many of the government and private organizations, GATE score is important for the recruitment. GATE score is compulsory for many private organizations 1
