  1. Lecture’s Biography

  2. Object • What is ISAM 7302/7330? • Understand about ISAM 7302/7330 • What is NT and LT card. • How to add subscriber into the system. • Check Alarm.

  3. Why the 7302/7330 ISAM? It’s all about the introduction of new services, in general voice and video services, where the video services can consume/take a lot of bandwidth in the network of an operator.

  4. Overview The Intelligent Services Access Manager (ISAM) is a frame based Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer (DSLAM), i.e. a digital subscriber line (DSL) access multiplexer which is based on a (Ethernet)

  5. frame forwarding architecture in a packet aggregation network. Different types of ISAM do exist, but conceptually they have the same building blocks. The mapping of functional blocks to hardware modules depends on the equipment practice chosen.

  6. Data forwarding in the ISAM is accomplished by interworking functions (on LT’s) and/or an aggregation function (on the NT): both of them include a forwarding engine.

  7. What is the 7302/7330 ISAM Family? • Consider the ISAM to be a two stage switch: • first stage is at the NT (SHUB), with 24 GE ports. • second stage is at the LTs (ASAM-CORE).

  8. LT cards are cards terminating DSL lines. – the number of slots depends on the hardware: > 7302 ISAM CO (XD) 16 slots > 7302 ISAM CO (FD) 16 or 18 slots > 7330 FTTN host shelf (XD) 4 slots

  9. > 7330 FTTN host shelf (FD) 8 or 10 slots > 7330 FTTN REM 1 “slot” (no pluggable boards) – the number of ports on an LT depends on the LT type:

  10. > 24 or 72 ports (XD or FD equipment in the future more than 72 ports on FD LT’s)

  11. The ISAM in the access network At the user side, the ISAM terminates ADSL/ADSL2/Re-ADSL/ ADSL2+, SHDSL & VDSL links. It is also possible to terminate a limited number of Fast Ethernet or Gigabit Ethernet links (FE/GE).

  12. At the network side, the ISAM terminates GE or FE links. In case of more than 1 FE or 1 GE, Ethernet link aggregation can be used. The Ethernet links can also be connected to 1 or more Ethernet switches. The Ethernet switches forward the frames over the

  13. Ethernet based aggregation access network until it reaches the IP Edge Router of the corresponding network service provider. At the IP Edge Router, the frame enters the IP backbone of the network service provider. The ISAM can also be connected directly to the IP

  14. Edge router, in which case the Ethernet aggregation network is reduced to 1 or more parallel Ethernet links.

  15. ISAM FD shelf FD slots are universal: can hold LTs as well as splitters. Various FD splitters will be available multi-DSL and VDSL2 POTS-only and universal POTS/ISDN.

  16. NT and LT cards used in 7302 ISAM FD are also used in the 7330 ISAM FTTN-FD. The functionality of the different boards is the same as in the 7302 ISAM-FD.

  17. NANT-A The NANT-A contains the control functions of the 7302 ISAM. It handles the xDSL, the chassis and the switching data path. The NANT-A provides management interfaces (LAN, CRAFT, RCRAFT) to the outside world and

  18. control interfaces towards other subsystems

  19. Features and Application Notes The NANT-A: • Is used in a Flexible Density (FD) 7302 ISAM rack. • Provides the management and control interfaces. • Provides centralized alarm handling and reporting.

  20. • Complies with IEEE802.3, IEEE802.3u, IEEE802.3z/ab and IEEE802.3x. • Has one fixed 1000BASE-X port (SFP only) and one 1000BASE-X combo port (SFP or RJ45). • Supports fiber bending. • Supports up to 16 LT boards.

  21. • Supports up to 16 K MAC address entries with hardware assisted aging. • Supports 9K Jumbo Frames. • Supports NT redundancy from 7302 ISAM R3.2 onwards. • Supports NT I/O. • Supports Building Integrated Timing

  22. System (BITS). • Supports back pressure at half duplex and IEEE802.3x flow control at full duplex. • Has extensive debug LEDs and LEDS per port. • Operates within the temperature range of -40 °C to +65 °C.

  23. NALT-B The NALT-B is a 72 multiDSL (ADSL, ADSL2, ADSL2+, READSL or Annex M) line termination board. This unit can be installed in a FD sub rack.

  24. Features and Application Notes The NALT-B: • Is used in an Flexible Density (FD) subrack. • Provides 72 Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL, ADSL2, ADSL2+, READSL or Annex M) services over

  25. Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) services. • Offers 72 multiDSL over POTS Central Office (CO) links on one board with a maximum line transmit power of 19.65 dBm.

  26. • Supports L2 Interworking Forwarding (IWF) engine. Note: For more information on the IWF engine, refer to the Product Information. • Supports full in band management • Can be hot inserted or extracted

  27. • Operates within the temperature range of -40 °C to +85 °C.

  28. Add subscriber into system Using telnet protocol to login into system and then type the following command: configure voice sip

  29. Use this command to add subscriber number: termination 1/1/1/1 directory-number 062215001 user-name 062215001@tc-voip.com.kh uri062215001@tc-voip.com.kh md5-realm auth.tc-voip.com.kh md5-password 062215001a admin-status up

  30. Using info flat to check the it.

  31. Check Card Using show equipment slot to see all the card in the system.

  32. Check Alarm Using show alarm current table to see all the alarm.
