COS cells were co-transfected with the cDNAs encoding myc-tagged full-length β1 and various deletion mutants of hsp90. Immuno- precipitation (IP) was performed using a FLAG antibody and precipitates were tested for the presence of β1. Blots are representative of experiments repeated at least twice with identical results. Numbers identify the relative positions in the amino acid sequence; retained sequences are bracketed.
