  2. Plan Project Plan: System for development • Our company will be developing a business website for both our customers and employees to use. The customers expressed the need to be able to order the products they require and track their purchases from start to finish. They will now be able to buy their dirt bikes, accessories, and parts using an a common style shopping cart; then they can choose a specific type of delivery or in store pick up. The information that the sales will provide also help the Mud Slingers’ team by sorting and organizing business data. When registering an account on the website, Mud Slingers can target their market through online promotions, and define a more accurate demographic of their customer base. • Project Feasibility: this project will be a great investment to the company. Because websites and ecommerce have become such big parts of business in the world, there are very effective ways to make a tailored website variability. 6. Plan Analysis- Business Requirements • We want the website to be able to answer any questions or concerns that customers may have like; warranties, costs, tracking information, and anything else they may have concerns with • The website will also need a variety of different ways to contact the store, as well as email options for a direct line to the management/owners • We will use the website to help determine which products we will continue to purchase from our suppliers and what the best prices for the most profit on each product • When visiting our site the customers will be prompted with our main page and a link to open their profiles with a user ID and password if the password and everything are correct the customer will then move on to our products and be able to click and choose the different item(s) wanted. Once they are done they double check the order and how they will be paying for it. Once choosing payment plan and finalizing order they will be promoted to choose if they would like the item(s) to be delivered or picked-up. After choosing delivery type they will get a confirmation number and will be informed of when the item(s) will be ready • We will have one owner present at all developing meetings to ensure quality control and a proper format for our website needs Analyze Design Develop Test Implement Maintain

  7. Plan Analysis • Buy vs. Build • Mud Slingers will buy the system from a web specialist company in Huntington. Since we don’t have any in-house specialists, the company felt buying would be easier then hiring a group of people to build and design a website and everything that is needed. With a website being a corner stone in all business plans, we did not want to leave anything up to risk. This would also allow all of our employees to continue their day-to-day job duties. We know that buying this website design from a cost effective, seasoned professional will save us time and money in the end that we could ultimately put into our store’s inventory or capital construction. Also, all requirements and thoughts we have are met so we are ready to move forward with this joint collaberation. Analyze Design Develop Test Implement Maintain

We let our customers see our missions from the start, and then allow them to choose where they want to go, and even allow them to upload their own photos in the gallery, find us on Google Maps, and access all the features a big corporation would offer. Even more, we are able to quickly update our inventory, change links, and get traffic input in a timely manner. Analyze Design Develop Test Implement Maintain

  17. Plan • Implementation • Mud Slingers will be implementing a plunge conversion. This conversion will immediately stop the old system once the new system is online. Since Mud Slingers is just starting this company with no online presence, the plunge conversion makes the most sense. • We will personally close the shop one Monday afternoon for a routine company meeting and mandate that every employee come to be trained on the new system. We will provide food to add to the incentive. One main manager will be trained by the company who built the system. Everyone will know where the appropriate documentation is for a tutorial, help desk, and users guide should there be a question that a manager cannot answer. Website training will be added into the new employee orientation from the day that the website goes live on the internet. Analyze Design Develop Test Implement Maintain

  18. Plan • Implementation • Specifically, employees will be trained how to operate different online payments, access account information, check updated inventory and sales promotions, understand customer and product databases, and perform integrated customer service online and face-to-face. • After implementing the training, will be evaluated on their website knowledge and use on a quarterly basis. 19. Plan • Maintenance – Changes • Only managers and an IT specialists will be in allowed the access of performing changes to our system, including setting public promotions. Since the website is connected with our database, the inventory online will update with in store purchases, and vise versa. The IT specialist will be available at all times to help the customers and employees with technological difficulties, another benefit of buying the system. Employee and customer feedback will be documented and a great factor if changes need to be implemented, we will update our website design and features after one year’s time of analysis. 20. Plan • Maintenance – System • System Maintenance • Adaptive maintenance will manage the layout of our website and accommodate our business, employee, and customer needs. This will be handled by the founders of the company and the Web Specialist company hired in collaboration. • Corrective maintenance will be handled by a hired IT specialist of another company. • Detecting problems/defects and making sure the system is running appropriately is the main goal and will be handled by in house managers. • Perfective maintenance will be based off of recording and documenting employee and customer feedback about the system and website. When a change is greatly needed, precise detail and documentation will be sent and handled by the adaptive maintenance area. However, we hope to make it a year without many drastic changes. 21. Plan • Maintenance – Schedule • December 1 – December 31 • Management will thoroughly check systems capabilities daily to find any possible issues. • Test product orders with payments, customer and employee database, shipping, and receiving weekly. • Effective January 1, 2013 • Daily system scans • Updates on software annually and when needed • Weekly website and system functionality checks • Weekly online order checks • Monthly overview of problems, errors, concerns, feedback, and employee meetings that overview new changes and ideas.
