Young audience • Regular youth screenings every Wednesday, every second Sunday and in holidays every day • Two screenings at the same time, one age 3+ and one age 6+ or 8+ • 2011: 151 screenings, 1.911 admissions • Special membership for children, costs € 4,50 a year and gives € 1,- discount per ticket

  5. Young audience initiatives • National initiatives: Cinekid op Locatie, Het Fantastisch Kinderfilm Festival, Klassefilm, Moviezone, Upload Cinema. • Local/own initiatives: screenings for primary and secondary schools, activities in school holidays, SaxEvents.

Cinekid op Locatie • Festival about film, television and new media for youth (4-12 years) • Every year in the autumn holiday in 31 cities • http://www.cinekid.nl • 5 or 6 youth films for everyday screenings • Workshops and educational programs • We add 1 or 2 films to the program • We add our own workshops and activities • In 2011: 16 screenings, 2 workshops, 6 activitites, 624 admissions

Cinekid op Locatie • High brand awareness + good reputation in the Netherlands • Costs € 1.000,- for all the movies, workshops etc. • A lot of admissions because of the holiday, new films and interesting workshops. • New people or people who rarely come to our cinema • Partnership with other cultural organisations • Communication through posters, flyers, press releases, social media, actions, contact with schools

Screenings primary and secondary school • Easy, nice excursion for schools and their students • Little work and manpower for the cinema • In the morning or afternoon, during schooltime • Low costs for the cinema and the school • 2011: 26 screenings, 2.365 admissions • Klassefilm : 11 screenings, 1.148 admissions, http://www.klassefilm.nl • Cultuur & School: initiative from all the cultural organisations in Deventer • Direct contact with schools
