  3. A little History • Root Beer is soft drink or Soda that is very popular. • Root Beer was first invented in 1876. • Charles Hires was the first to sell Root Beer. • A&W Root beer invented Roy Allen, a pharmacist from Arizona. Root Beer

How Its Made • Made using the root of a sassafras plant as the primary flavor. • There are tons of ingredients in Root Beer, here are some of the main ones: Sassafras albidum, sarsaparilla, hoja santa, liquorice, wintergreen, sweet/black birch, black cheery, red/black spruce, Sitka spruce, burdock and dandelion.   5. Root • Root Beer is made by fermenting a mixture of herbs with sugar and yeast. This process of fermentation generates carbon dioxide which carbonates the drink giving it a good flavor. • Sarsaparilla: Sarsaparilla is a plant, this plant is used in the soft drink Root Beer and as a medicine.
