Please copy the following words in your Social Studies Notebook: 1) Sacco and Vanzetti Trial: Court case where two Italian immigrants were charged with treason and executed though the evidence against them was largely fabricated and circumstantial. 2) Mass Production: Production of goods in large numbers through the use of machinery and assembly lines.

Please copy the following words in your Social Studies Notebook: 3) Installment Buying: Method of purchase in which buyer makes a small down payment and then pays off the rest of the debt in regular monthly payments. 4) 18th Amendment: Constitutional amendment that banned the manufacture, distribution, and sale of alcohol in the United States. 5) Bootlegger: One who sells illegal alcohol.
