ORGANOGRAM School Management Committee (SMC) (Shall be constituted in every school other than an un-aided school within its jurisdiction) Chairperson (Sarpanch of G.P / Councilor / Corporator) Vice-Chairperson (One of the parent members) Member convener Member (Ward member) Members (Parents /guardians) Special invitees Rajiv Vidya Mission (SSA) Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh

  3. II. Composition of SMC Chairperson: • Sarpanch shall be the Chairperson in rural areas • Councilor / Corporator shall be the Chairperson in Municipal areas. Vice – Chairperson: • Committee will be elected from amongst the parent community. • If Chairperson is not from the SC or ST or BC the Vice-Chairperson shall be from any of these classes Rajiv Vidya Mission (SSA) Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh

Election process • Member convener will organise a meeting of parents / guardians to facilitate the election process by giving written communication to all the parents. • At-least 50% of the parents / guardians should be present for conducting the elections Rajiv Vidya Mission (SSA) Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh

  9. IV. Duration of SMC & conduct of meeting • 2 years Meeting of SMC: • Every month • Member convener will organise SMC meeting. Rajiv Vidya Mission (SSA) Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh

  10. V. Functions / Duties of SMC • Monitor the working of the school • Prepare and recommend SDP • Monitor the utilization of the grants received from the appropriate Government or local authority or any other source. • Perform such other function as may be prescribed Rajiv Vidya Mission (SSA) Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh
