  4. Examples Throughout History • USSR • Nazi Germany • Chile • Spain • Uganda • China

  5. Uganda • Idi Amin- President of Uganda 1971-1979 • Deported and killed many people (100,000-500,000) • Asians • Indians

  6. Genocide • Idi Amin discriminated against people of northern Uganda • Mostly Tribal • Were killed or imprisoned if they did not show allegiance to Uganda

  8. Chile • Military Dictatorship-Junta • Aimed at rapid demobilization, depoliticatization, and stabilization
