Selfish Sammy

1. Selfish Sammy By Kieran and Laura

2. Scene #1 In a big hollow oak tree lived a greedy named Sammy. Sammy was a hard worker, but never shared food with his friends. One day he grew tired and fell asleep.

3. Scene # 2 One night in the cold of winter, Sammy squirrel was busily munching an acorn. Then his friend Betsy bird came. She was very hungry. She begged him for a nut, just one but he refused to give her one.

4. Scene # 3 Betsy had always been nice to Sammy. She always shared the berries she gathered in the summer with him. She was generous. But Sammy was selfish.

5. Scene # 4 “Please Sammy, I’m starving.” Whined Betsy. But since the greedy Sammy sent her away, she starved to her death.

6. Scene # 5 When Sammy saw her dead body he remembered the time he had been chewing nuts and she had pleaded him to give her one. One out of a thousand and fifty.

7. Scene # 6 Sammy felt terrible! What had he done! His best friend was dead because Of his selfishness. He vowed never to be selfish again.

8. Scene # 7 Sammy blinked his eyes. He was sitting in his hollow tree inside of his cozy nest. All of a sudden in flew… Betsy! So it had all been a dream. He smiled at He smiled at her. “Betsy”, he said, “let’s go eat some of my nuts”. So Sammy changed his Selfish ways and always shared from then on.
