Mengenal VB .NET • Visual Basic .Net adalah suatu peningkat atau upgrade dari versi Visual Basic 6.0 sebelumnya. Visual Basic .Net direalisasikan pada akhir tahun 1999, • Visual Basic .Net tidak hanya membahas satu bahasa pemrograman yang terdapat pada Visual Studio .Net diantaranya adalah VB .Net, C#, C++.Net, Asp .Net dan Jscript .Net Framework.
Perubahan dalam VB .Net • Bahasa pemprograman sekarang benar-benar bahasa berbasis objek (Object Oriented Programming), sedangkan VB 6.0 bukan bahasa berbasis object. • Aplikasi dan komponen yang ditulis di VB .Net mempunyai akses penuh ke Net Framework. Sedangkan di VB 6.0 tidak dikenal atau tidak digunakan Net Framework. • Semua aplikasi yang dibuat beroperasi dalam manajemen Common Language Runtime (CLR).Information Systems in the Enterprise • Information Systems, Management, Organzation, and Strategy
