To the RIGHT of the Decimal ... You may find up to three numbers. 956.704 What is the name of each place value?
How do I find numbers on the shelf? You have to remember PLACE VALUE!!!
Just like a number line . . . Numbers increase in value as you move from left to right. The first book on the shelf will have a lower number than the last book on the shelf.
Imagine these are books on a shelf. 678.45 LON 679.2 MAR 678.3 SMI 678.32 CAR 680.9 MCD 680.99 MOR 683.74 LOD
Some books may have the same decimal number. THEN you have to know the first three letters of the authors last name. This doesn’t really happen very often, except in the fairy tale section—398.2.
