Acer has been going at it lately. They’ve been releasing products of a higher quality than they previously did. Back then, Acer was known for being a brand that focused on providing affordable devices filled with great features, while making a profit. Right now though, it seems like they’re shedding that “value” image and transitioning to more premium products, as seen in the Aspire Timeline M5 – 481TG – 6814. For simplicity’s sake, let’s just call it the M5. This laptop is one Acer product that is affordable, yet filled with premium parts. If you want to sell your laptop for this one, then you definitely should!

This means that the laptop manages to be ultraportable and thin, yet have essential mainstream laptop parts, such as an optical drive. The M5’s 4.16 pounds is far away from the maximum weight. Nevertheless, 4.16 pounds is still light enough to be carried around without causing a strain on your back. The laptop is also 0.79 inches thin, which makes it comfortable. Overall, the slim profile and relatively light weight of the laptop make this a very nice device to touch. Looks Source: http://coolgirltechie.wordpress.com/2012/08/01/acers-pseudo-ultrabook/

While it may not be an i7 processor, the performance is still astounding because it is newer. You get an NVIDIA GeForce GT640ME graphics card. It’s a little lower than the ones used by gaming laptops, but overall, performance is still great. To top it off, the M5 has 6GB of RAM, which is more than enough for your needs.
