JongRo Korean Restaurant @ Sunway Giza Mall, Kota Damansara

Just a couple of weeks ago, I had a massive craving for Korean food. When we speak of Korean food, it’s barbecue meat and kimchi that comes to mind, right? But this time we had something a little different at JongRo Korean Restaurant in Kota Damansara. This is their first branch outside of South Korea, in collaboration with Sungei Wang Group. In South Korea, they are better known as Jongno Halmeoni Kalguksu or “Grandma’s noodles”. In Korean, halmeoni actually translates to grandma, and kalguksu is a type of knife-cut wheat flour noodle soup.

  3. JONGRO KOREAN RESTAURANT @ SUNWAY GIZA MALL, KOTA DAMANSARA Just a couple of weeks ago, I had a massive craving for Korean food. Other than their famous kalguksu, JongRo Korean Restaurant also serves some other specialty such as the JongRo Boneless Snow Chicken (RM59.90 – serves 2 to 3 pax), where the staff will be flaming the cheese, letting them melt on seasoned boneless chicken, right at your table. Careful it gets a bit hot! But before that, some kimchi was also served to us. With kimchi, it’s either you love it or hate it. For me, it’s definitely a love! JongRo‘s kimchi was freshly homemade and some of them were very spicy too! Yum! The chicken, on the other hand, was average. It would’ve been better if the chicken was tossed to let the melted cheese could coat on them evenly. WWW.MISSGETABOUT.COM
