E –LEARNING PUNTOEDU Enviroment Peculiarities • Methodology centred on trainees • On line training environment for teachers • A sharing environment of the on - going learning experiences • “Open source” e-learning platform for teachers’ training • Learning environment based on competences rather than on contents
Main aims and objectives • The main aim is that of supporting teachers in the achievement of the following general objectives : • Provide the children with the instruments necessary to compare their own culture with other cultures. • Be able to plan teaching and learning paths suitable for the children’s needs and backgrounds.
Main aims and objectives 3. Use strategies that permit the acquisition of communicative abilities. 4. Be able to evaluate and choose approaches which enable individualised learning paths. 5. Be able to organize classroom activities which favour the gradual evolution of all four abilities.
Modules and credits the course is articulated in four modules. At the end of the training path each course member should have at least 40 credits

PUNTOEDU COURSES ELABORATED MATERIAL Unfold in a hypertextual format, through links and other resources ( bibliography, study cases) which lead to research and production, as well as the personalisation of the process of teaching and learning.

PUNTOEDU Virtual Class • On line meeting in cyberspace within a group of trainees and their tutor with the purpose of: • Discussing • Researching • Consolidating Issues dealt either at F2F meetings or in the on line environment
PUNTOEDU – Tutor’s competences • To be able to use technology • To have skills in implementing on line material • To moderate,organize and achieve asynchronous discussions • To establish ground rules, guide and animate synchronous discussions • To interact actively with course members
PUNTOEDU – tutor’s function He/ she is supposed to : • Introduce course members to the wide range of material available on the platform • Provide them with a method for selecting learning material according to their needs and learning styles • Create a comfortable and co-operative learning environment by avoiding any technological or psychological obstacles which may compromise the training process
PUNTOEDU – Tutor’s function • Use the virtual class in order to facilitate and stimulate the course members to share ideas on the given learning material • Plan effective face to face meetings by: • Organising groupwork • Devising tasks suitable to the aims to be achieved

WORKSHOP TASK 1 – Foresee a form to be filled in at the first face to face – meeting in order to make a profile of each course member ( attitudes, competences, experiences…) TASK 2 – Foresee a form on course members’ needs and expectations
WORKSHOP • TASK 3 – Exploit the Platform and make a list of the main issues which you feel may be of interest and source of discussion among your course members.
WORKSHOP TASK 4 – Plan a suitable 18 hour-face to face-meeting programme in which you pinpoint objectives, activities, key points for discussion and tasks which may be of help to your course members while carrying out their training project
