Hebrews 11:1-3 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Indeed, by faith our ancestors received approval.
Hebrews 11:1-3 By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was made from things that are not visible.
A Confident Faith “Confidence to Enter the Sanctuary” • Confidence Found in the Blood of Christ. (10:19) • Do not abandon this confidence. (10:35) • Confidence in theUnseen is Exemplified through Action, through “not shrinking back.” (10:39)
Confidence Connected to Conviction • The confident actions of faith are connected to having the conviction of things unseen. • The ancestors exemplified this kind of active conviction. A – The Conviction + B – What is Unseen = C – The Fulfilled Promise
Conviction + Unseen = Promise • Noah – Ark + Warning of Danger = Heir of Righteousness. • Abraham – Promised Land + Misdirection = Inheritance Place • Moses – Left Sonship + Greater Treasures = Was not touched by the Destroyer • Israelites – Crossed Red Sea + Unknown Journey = Safe Waters Encircled + Unseen Victory = Walls Down
Our faith is our conviction of things not seen. In what ways can we experience the conviction of the Holy Spirit guiding us to step out in faith as a church?
