  2. EVA STUDENTS EXCEL! The EVA staff and community are proud of the accomplishments of our students!

EVA students should be proud… • EVA AIMS scores are on the rise. • EVA is recognized as a school dedicated to service learning • EVA has numerous resources available for students and our students take advantage of our resources • We are a small and caring learning community • We have a very dedicated staff committed to the success of our students

  4. Let’s take a look at the AIMS scores… • AIMS score have improved considerably over the last four years. • In previous years, EVA was near the bottom of the list for scores compared to other Mesa high schools. • EVA scores have been recognized by our District superintendent. • Other schools want to know what we are doing to help our students be successful.

DID YOU NOTICE…. • EVA went from 7th in the District in 2000 to 3rd in the District in 2008. • In 2000, 49% of our students met or exceeded on the AIMS writing. • In 2008, 78% of our students met or exceeded on the AIMS writing. • There is no other high school in the District that has made these gains. • WE ARE PROUD OF OUR STUDENTS! • EVA STUDENTS SHOULD BE PROUD!

DID YOU NOTICE…. • EVA went from 7th in the District in 2000 to 4th in the District • In 2000, 49% of our students met or exceeded on the AIMS reading. • In 2008, 84% of our students met or exceeded on the AIMS reading. • There is no other high school in the District that has made these gains. • WE ARE PROUD OF OUR STUDENTS! • EVA STUDENTS SHOULD BE PROUD!

DID YOU NOTICE…. • EVA went from 8th in the District in 2000 to tied for 2nd in the District in 2008 • In 2000, 46% of our students met or exceeded on the AIMS math. • In 2008, 88% of our students met or exceeded on the AIMS math. • There is no other high school in the District that has made these gains. • WE ARE PROUD OF OUR STUDENTS! • EVA STUDENTS SHOULD BE PROUD!

  17. What will 2009 bring?? • Writing AIMS is February 24 • Reading AIMS is February 25 • Math AIMS is April 1 • LET’S SHOW WHAT OUR STUDENTS CAN DO!

  18. WHAT CAN YOU DO? • If you need to test, we need you here and here on time. • We need you to do your best. • Take your time. There is no time limit. • Check and recheck.

  20. SERVICE LEARNING • Our students continually give back to the community. • Our students participate in a variety of service learning projects.
