Passion: • Any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling, as love or hate. • Any state of the mind in which it is affected by something external, such as perception, desire, etc. as contrasted with action. • Feelings, desires or emotions, as contrasted with reason.
4-H Focus Committee Formed • Sample Letter to groups involved with Extension and 4-H programming: - Extension Council - 4-H Committee - County Youth Council - 4-H Leaders We asked for at least 3 from each group • Meeting Agenda • 4-H Focus Committee originally planned to meet for 5 months but they chose to meet on a regular basis until May 2013
Outcome 1 • The 4-H Focus Committee gained a new and better understanding of 4-H programming and all that is involved with planning events and programs for county 4-H members.
Outcome 2 • 4-H Volunteers are more willing to volunteer to assist the office with 4-H events.
Outcome 3 • 4-H leaders with passion became more positive and appreciative of 4-H staff and the important role they have in the 4-H program. (Insert quote)
Outcome 4 • Throughout this process, the primary focus was to protect the integrity of the 4-H program.
Outcome 5 • Trust and open communication with your Field Specialist and State 4-H Staff are vital to this type of process for support, direction & mentoring.
