  1. The Mid-South Youth Rodeo Cowboys Association, or MRCA, was established in 1979. The MRCA draws contestants from 19-year-old seniors and under. Contestants compete for top 15 positions of each event for the finals. by participating in 50% of rodeos as a member and be in good standing .with all fees and dues paid. We have 6 & Under, 7-9 Co-ed, 10-13 Boys & Girls, and 14-19 Boys & Girls divisions. See membership link for complete information Or contact our membership secretary, Lisa Rogers at lrogers@comanche.k12.ok.us The MRCA enjoys a great tradition of providing our contestants with a rich opportunity to establish friendships that last a lifetime. At the same time, through the level of competition within the different age groups offers our young people a chance to develop skills that can allow them to succeed later in life. Several of the MRCA alumni have proven themselves in the professional rodeo world, among them Trevor Brazile, Blair Burk, Jerome Schneeberger, Janae Ward, Felicia Otis, just to name a few. Our officers and directors all work together to give our contestants the best possible chance to compete fairly and equally. Our Finals are held each year over Labor Day Weekend, and are currently being held at the Stephens County Fair and Expo Center in Duncan, Ok. Contestants via for 32 event and all-around saddles, season and final buckles sportsmanship, and scholarship awards, plus many other prizes. Our rodeo season consist of 20 rodeos (ten weekends) This year we start in November and conclude with the finals in September. A great time is had by all by the end of Saturday’s competition. Somebody is always cooking, kids are always doing something. Saturday evenings are a time for families to come together, have fun, relive old times, make new friendships-the way life was meant to be. Sunday starts off with cowboy church, with many rodeo family members sharing their talents in sharing the good new s of Christ along with praise & worship. Welcome to the MRCA Family!
