Defending the Faith • Jude 1:3 Dear friends, I had been eagerly planning to write to you about the salvation we all share. But now I find that I must write about something else, urging you to defend the faith that God has entrusted once for all time to his holy people.
And I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of Life; who proceeds from the Father and the Son; who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified; who spoke by the prophets.

1 John 2:26 - 27 26I am writing these things to warn you about those who want to lead you astray. 27But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ.
Reflection Time • Have you received the Holy Spirit since you believed? What is the tangible evidence that you have been baptized, or filled with the Holy Spirit? What gifts and what fruit? • How has the Spirit led you into truth, or how has he exposed other’s attempts to lead you astray? • How has the Spirit revealed the future to you so you can be led by the Spirit?
Last week we discovered that one of the reasons people are reluctant to embrace Christianity is that people are afraid of the supernatural because it is mysterious and uncontrollable.
