(James 1:13, 16; Genesis 3:12-13; Exodus 32:21-24). • We can blame neither Adam nor our parents! (Romans 5:12; Ezekiel 18:20) • The “soul that sins” is accountable for itself.
Faith Works to Resist Temptation Temptation has its roots in human desire! • “Each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires” (James 1:14). • Loving the things of this world feeds the desires of the eyes, of the flesh, and of pride (1 John 2:15-17). • Lust puts us at odds with God and our fellowman (James 4:1-4).

Faith Works to Resist Temptation When we strive to resist temptation, we show the world that we have faith in a Great King who has the power to conquer evil! Let us each resolve to show our faith by our works (James 2:18).
